OPEN WEEKEND
Open Weekend 2026
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Open Weekend!
This weekend was your final opportunity to experience Wildlife Aid Foundation’s hospital in the form that has become so familiar to millions through Wildlife SOS.
On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July, we opened our gates to you for Open Weekend 2026.
If all goes to plan, construction of our brand-new wildlife hospital will begin before next summer. While we’re already looking forward to creating an even better future for British wildlife, it does mean this was the last Open Weekend held at our current hospital as you’ve always known it.
For many supporters, this building is more than bricks and mortar.
It’s where countless fox cubs have taken their first steps towards freedom. Where hedgehogs have recovered from devastating injuries. Where owls, badgers, deer, birds and so many other wild patients have been given a second chance. It’s also the hospital that has featured in Wildlife SOS, inspiring generations of people to care about Britain’s wildlife.
This weekend, many of you walked through those doors one last time.
Thank you very much to the Southern Bus Preservation Group for providing a free local bus service, and everyone else who helped make our last Open Weekend at the site a possibility.
Open Weekend 2026 – A huge thank you!
