A lifetime of adventures has left its mark on this beautiful fox.
Meet Bartholomew.
Bartholomew arrived late one evening after being found collapsed. When checked over by our vet, Judith, she found missing teeth, mange, multiple wounds and a nasty parasite infection.
Not only this, but Bartholomew was thought to be an older fox, around five years old.
His long life had clearly taken its toll.
Judith carefully cleaned his wounds and treated his mange before placing him somewhere warm, with lots of food and Tigger to keep him company.
A few days later… disaster struck, as Tigger was found in multiple pieces.
Clearly, Bartholomew was feeling a lot better and had decided he didn’t need Tigger around anymore!
Thankfully, despite his rough start at WAF, Bartholomew is beginning to show signs of improvement. With plenty of rest, good food and expert care, this old boy is starting to feel a lot more like himself.
We’re hopeful that soon he’ll be able to return to the wild and carry on living a long, happy life.
To help foxes like Bartholomew enjoy many more years in the wild, please, consider adopting a fox, today.
