Rescue

This young female fox cub is quite the miracle case and she has certainly beaten the odds...

Unfortunately we are not sure how she came to be orphaned, but she was taken to a domestic vet practice (who we won't name) who told a member of the public (who was part of UK Wildlife Transporters) to come and collect her within an hour 'or they would euthanise' her.

Rehabilitation

Luckily, despite this awful threat, she was quickly collected and brought into our care, but her troubles didn't stop there. At just before midnight that evening, her condition crashed, with Marco rushing back in from home to try and keep her stable.

Barely clinging to life, she was started on a course of medication and fluid therapy and Alannah, our Hospital Manager, spent all night making sure she was ok.

Just 12 hours later, and you wouldn't know it was even the same fox! We are beyond overjoyed as how she has recovered and, although she isn't quite out of the woods yet, we are quietly hopeful that she will be ok...
