Grass snake caught by cat

Rescue - 24th June, 2022

Rescue

This young grass snake had quite a bad day after he was caught by a cat. Whilst still rather lively, blood around his vent raised concerns of tiny puncture injuries and he was placed on a course of antibiotics, just to be safe (cat saliva contains several bacteria that pose major health risks if not treated). Now in one of our reptile tanks, he is making great progress and we are hoping for a successful outcome before long!
