This stunning little bird is a little owl (yes, that's the species name!), and it had quite the story... Originally found by a member of our vet team, concerns were raised after it was seen struggling to fly. Unfortunately, whilst still bright and lively, an x-ray soon revealed that it had a really bad fracture to the coracoid. With the fracture both at an angle and out of alignment with the rest of the bone, chances of recovery were slim, but we're delighted to say that it has responded perfectly to treatment!
Release
Now, able to fly once more, it has been enjoying the space of one of our flight aviaries and has built up enough strength to be released back, into the wild!
