Rescue

Working with other rescue and rehabilitation centres is of huge importance in our industry and we are always happy to help out (or ask for help) if needed!

This beautiful tawny owl was originally admitted to HART Wildlife Rescue in Hampshire after a suspected impact injury. With a suspected eye injury, they asked for our help and Marco was more than happy to take a look!

Rehabilitation

Luckily, we are well equipped to deal with eye injuries here at Wildlife Aid and our vet team were quick to take a look.

Sadly, their hunch was completely correct, and this poor owl has both blood in the left eye and an increased IOP (the pressure within the eye). Luckily, this is not too bad just yet and we are currently attempting correcting treatment to avoid surgery. We will keep you updated!
