Rescue

Just your daily reminder to check your garden before doing any work to it!
This is just half of the injuries that this hedgehog sustained when she was accidentally struck by a strimmer.

Rehabiliation

With further injuries to the right side of her face and another to one of her paws, she has been very lucky that several of them were able to be cleaned and sutured, by vet Judith.
But having to remain with us for a while, to let the wounds recover, means she is currently missing out on her breeding season. And, as we all know, hedgehogs need all the opportunities they can get to have some hoglets!
With suturing wounds helping to speed up the healing process, we hope to get her home as soon as possible.

PLEASE, check all surrounding garden/hedges/log piles, etc., etc., to give these guys and girls a chance!
